Informations sur le produit
Ethyl 3-chlorothiophene-2-carboxylate is a cytotoxic compound, which has been shown to inhibit the proteolytic activity of various types of proteases. It has been shown to have an anti-cancer effect in cell culture and in tissue samples. Ethyl 3-chlorothiophene-2-carboxylate also inhibits methionine aminopeptidase, which is an enzyme that degrades a number of proteins important for cancer cell growth and metastasis. The cyclohexane ring of ethyl 3-chlorothiophene-2-carboxylate is responsible for the inhibition of proteases. This compound also forms hydrogen bonds with nitro groups, which are nitrosating agents that can induce DNA damage. Ethyl 3-chlorothiophene-2-carboxylate is used clinically as an anticancer agent.
