Description :
5-Bromo-1-tert-butyl-6-fluoro-3H-1,3-benzodiazol-2-one is a substance that belongs to the group of prophylactic substances. It has shown inhibitory activity against both type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. The active form of 5BTB6F2 is metabolized through a number of metabolic transformations, including hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases, oxidation by cytochrome P450 enzymes, reduction by glutathione reductase, or conjugation with glucuronic acid. 5BTB6F2 also specifically binds to markers expressed at high levels in Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains (e.g., ESX-1 secretion system protein) and inhibits cell growth in culture.
