Methyl perfluorotetradecanoate is a long-acting, slow-release active substance that is used as an emulsifier in pharmaceutical formulations. It can be used for the treatment of cancer and also has anti-inflammatory properties. Methyl perfluorotetradecanoate has been shown to inhibit the production of eicosanoids, which are involved in inflammation and other physiological processes. The compound has been shown to have a radially symmetric profile with a molecule radius of approximately 3.4 nm. Methyl perfluorotetradecanoate is soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform, petroleum ether, and hexane. It also possesses high oxidative stability and resistance to hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases.
