Description :LGD-2226 is a designer drug that belongs to the class of selective androgen receptor modulators. It binds to the androgen receptor, which allows it to inhibit cell growth by blocking transcription. This drug has been shown to have a tumour suppressor gene activity, with the ability to induce apoptosis in deficient mice with lung cancer.
