Description :PF-04418948 is a potent and selective antagonist of the camp receptor. It inhibits the binding of camp to the receptor, thereby inhibiting activation of downstream signaling pathways. PF-04418948 has been shown to inhibit cyclase activity in vitro, which may account for its effects on PGE2 levels. PF-04418948 also prevents cytosolic Ca2+ accumulation by blocking cation channels, which may contribute to its neuroprotective effects. PF-04418948 has been shown to have anti-angiogenic properties in vivo and in vitro experiments. This drug also blocks glutamate release from activated microglia and toll-like receptor signaling pathways, thereby suppressing microbial infection.
