• Description: 1,3-Dimethyl-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione is a photopolymerization initiator that can be used in the production of polyurethane foams. It is a cyclic compound that absorbs ultraviolet light and undergoes polymerization reactions to form polyurethane. This chemical also has low molecular weight and isomeric properties. 1,3-Dimethyl-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione has been shown to be a stereoisomeric compound with aspartic acid and amines. It has also been shown to have diffraction peaks at 2θ values of 5.8° and 7.6° when irradiated with UV light at 365 nm wavelength and can be used for the production of polyurethane foams at temperatures between 120°C and 160°C.
