• Description: 2-[(2,3-Dichlorophenyl)amino]benzoic acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that binds to the receptor for prostaglandin E2. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects in animal models of inflammatory bowel disease and microbial infection. 2-[(2,3-Dichlorophenyl)amino]benzoic acid inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators such as leukotrienes (LTs), prostaglandins, histamine, and cytokines from mast cells and eosinophils. It also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines by macrophages and T lymphocytes.
