Description :3-Carboxamidobenzoic Acid is a low molecular weight compound that has been shown to have a number of pharmacological activities. It is soluble in water and glycol ethers, but insoluble in polymers such as polyethylene glycol. 3-Carboxamidobenzoic acid has been shown to inhibit the activity of LPS-stimulated Raw 264.7 cells, with an IC50 of 0.1 µM. In addition, it has been shown to be a substrate for films and particles, and can act as an amide with intramolecular hydrogen bonding when combined with diamines and triamines. 3-Carboxamidobenzoic acid is a fluorescence enhancer when used in combination with light emitting dyes such as coumarin or rhodamine B.
