• Description: 3-Bromonaphthalen-2-amine is a reactive and unstable compound. It can be prepared by the reaction of hydrochloric acid with ethylene, methanol, or 1-4c alkyl chloride. The product can also be obtained by the treatment of aniline with chlorine gas in the presence of a catalyst. 3-Bromonaphthalen-2-amine is used as a raw material for synthesis of other compounds such as cyanoguanidine, imidocarbonate, and cyanamid.
