Protopseudohypericin is a mixture of hypericin and pseudohypericin. It is a natural product that has been shown to have insulin sensitizing effects in diabetic mice. Protopseudohypericin has been shown to improve metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes, and insulin resistance. Protopseudohypericin also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
Protopseudohypericin can be used as a natural remedy for the treatment of tissue culture cells and light exposure. This product may also have clinical data for locomotor activity, but more studies are needed before this information can be confirmed.
