Informations sur le produit
- 3-Buten-2-One, 4-(4-Methoxy-2,3,6-Trimethylphenyl)-
- Etretinate intermediate
4-(4-Methoxy-2,3,6-trimethylphenyl)-but-3-en-2-one is an aldehyde that has been synthesized from the bromination of 4-(4-methoxy-2,3,6-trimethylphenyl) butanal with ozone. It is a white crystalline solid that functions as an acylating agent. This compound can be used to produce dihydronaphthalene derivatives by dehydrobromination with potassium hydroxide. The synthesis of etretinate was achieved by the acylation of succinic anhydride with 4-(4-methoxy-2,3,6 trimethylphenyl) butanal and methylsuccinic anhydride.
