Glycyl-DL-aspartic Acid is a carboxy terminal amino acid that can be found in mammalian cells. Kinetic data for glycyl-DL-aspartic acid suggest that this amino acid has an inhibitory effect on kinase domain enzymes and may have an effect on malonic acid levels in blood plasma. The chemical composition of this amino acid was determined using nmr spectra and detergent compositions.
