Description

Blumeatin B is a flavone that is found in the natural product Altissima. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Blumeatin B has also been shown to have cardiovascular protective effects, including the prevention of myocardial infarction and arrhythmia. The efficiency of this substance is thought to be related to its ability to reduce oxidative stress by protecting cells from hydrogen peroxide-induced death.
