Informations sur le produit
N-[3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-N'-[(2S)-2-pyrrolidinylmethyl]thiourea (BTFU) is a potent inhibitor of heparanase. Heparanase is an enzyme that degrades heparin and heparan sulfate, which are glycosaminoglycans that form a matrix around cells and help to regulate cell growth. BTFU prevents the synthesis of these glycosaminoglycans by inhibiting heparanase activity. It is also an effective inhibitor of the aldol reaction in organic chemistry. The optical rotation of BTFU is also used as a diagnostic tool for detecting asymmetric syntheses.
