DG051 is a new type of small-molecule drug that has been shown to be effective in treating various types of cancer. DG051 binds to the reactive sites on the surface of cells and blocks them from reacting with other molecules, thereby preventing tumor growth. DG051 is also a cationic surfactant with a hydroxyl group. The molecule has an alcohol residue and a carboxylic acid residue that are attached to the hydroxy group. This drug can be coated or used as viscosity modifiers in coatings, which would make it easier for the drug to diffuse into tumors.
