Chloro(p-cymene) is a photoelectric material that absorbs and converts light energy into electrical energy. It is an organic solvent, which can be used as a dissolving agent for other substances. This process involves the conversion of light into chemical energy, which is then used to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen gas, yielding high yields of hydrogen gas (H2).
