5-Aminoindazole is a quinoline derivative that has been shown to have chemotactic activity. It is used in the management of infertility caused by radiation or chemotherapy, and also for the treatment of testicular cancer. 5-Aminoindazole is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and metabolized in the liver, leading to its excretion in urine. This drug also has an effect on spermatozoa, as it can increase their motility and cause them to adhere better to the oviduct wall. The reaction time for 5-Aminoindazole is about 1 hour. Functional theory predicts that this drug will be more efficient when immobilized on solid support materials such as electrodes, which could lead to a more rapid response time. The optical properties of 5-Aminoindazole are unknown because it has not been studied with respect to its absorption spectrum or fluorescence emission spectrum.
