Description :
D-Alanyl-L-histidine is a tripeptide that is synthesized in human blood and is used as a dietary supplement. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the activation of the enzyme carnosine synthetase, which is involved in the regulation of blood pressure. D-Alanyl-L-histidine also participates in the regulation of blood pressure by interacting with the erythrocyte membrane and preventing loss of potassium ions. D-Alanyl-L-histidine may be effective in reducing high blood pressure, but more research needs to be done before this can be confirmed.
