Description

[(2S,4S,5R)-5-(6-Aminopurin-9-Yl)-4-Fluorooxolan-2-Yl]Methyl (Hydroxy-Phosphonooxyphosphoryl) Hydrogen Phosphate is a model system that has been shown to inhibit the growth of herpes simplex virus and HIV. It has also been shown to have antiviral properties in tissue culture. This chemical compound is chemically stable and has been shown to be safe in human lymphocytes. [(2S,4S,5R)-5-(6-Aminopurin-9-Yl)-4-Fluorooxolan-2-Yl]Methyl (Hydroxy-Phosphonooxyphosphoryl) Hydrogen Phosphate inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA by binding to the template strand of DNA or the messenger RNA sequence.
