• Description: H-D-Ala-Leu-Lys-AMC hydrochloride salt is a zymogen that is the substrate for tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). It has been shown to inhibit the activity of fibrinogen and thrombin, two proteins involved in coagulation. H-D-Ala-Leu-Lys-AMC hydrochloride salt also inhibits the hydrolysis of fibrin clots by serine proteases and prevents the formation of new clots by inhibiting the activation of annexin. This drug has been shown to be effective in animal models with established atherosclerosis.
