Description :
2-Amino-4,5-diphenyl-3-furonitrile is an isomeric molecule. It can be synthesized by the reaction of carbon disulphide and thiourea in the presence of a base. 2-Amino-4,5-diphenyl-3-furonitrile has been used as a bifunctional agent in organic synthesis. This compound reacts with nucleophiles such as nitrogen to form transfer reactions. The reaction time is enhanced by irradiation or magnetic stirring.
2-Amino-4,5-diphenyl-3 furonitrile has also been found to be useful for the preparation of a number of heterocycles.
