Description :
1-Amino-2-naphthoic acid (1AN) is a synthetic molecule that has been shown to react with terminal alkynes and carbonitriles to form dibutylbenzannulation. 1AN can also be used to introduce enolate groups into carbocycles, which can be used to synthesize heterocycles. This chemical is highly reactive and should be handled with care. It should not come in contact with metals or heat, as it will decompose quickly. The compound should be recrystallized before use in the lab.
