Informations sur le produit
3-Aminothiophene-2-carbaldehyde is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of aryl aldehydes. The compound is produced by the oxidation of 3-aminothiophene with hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide in methanol. The reaction yields 2 equiv of 3-chloro-2,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde (1) and 1 equiv of 3,4,5-trichlorobenzaldehyde (2). The chlorine atom in 1 can be displaced by a variety of nucleophiles such as alcohols or amines to give substituted products. It also has been shown that the efficiency of this displacement is dependent on the regiospecificity and kinetics of the reaction.
