Description

Articaine is a local anesthetic with a rapid onset of action. It has been used in dentistry to relieve pain and discomfort during dental procedures. Articaine has been shown to have anaesthetic properties, specifically affecting nerve cells by blocking cell growth, as well as irreversible effects on the body. However, it is not recommended for use in cases where there is a possibility that the patient may need to breathe independently from the mouth. Articaine can also be used to treat inflammation of the mouth or throat (pulpitis) due to its anti-inflammatory properties. In high doses, articaine can cause side effects such as vomiting, convulsions, and cardiac arrest.
