Description

(R)-(-)-1-Aminoindane is a primary amine that is used as an organic solvent. It has been shown to be effective in the detection of molecular species in the low picomole range and can be used for the detection of neurodegenerative diseases. (R)-(-)-1-Aminoindane can be detected by mass spectrometry with high sensitivity and specificity. This compound can also be immobilized on a solid support and used as a bioreactor for the synthesis of carbonyl compounds using low energy, low pressure, and mild conditions.
