Description :
6-Amino-2-methylnicotinonitrile is a functionalized aminopyridine with an acetonitrile group that has strong optical properties. The optical properties of this compound are due to its dipole and the polarizability of its nitrile group. 6-Amino-2-methylnicotinonitrile is a peptidomimetic that can be used for the prevention or treatment of thrombotic disorders, such as stroke or myocardial infarction. This drug has been shown to inhibit thrombin activity in vitro and in vivo, and it has been shown to be resistant to enzymatic degradation by the proteases trypsin, plasmin, and chymotrypsin.
