This compound also has a high affinity for 5-HT receptors and has been shown to be a potent agonist at these sites. 6-Amino-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalene-2,3-diol has been found to induce pluripotent stem cells from human fibroblasts. These cells can differentiate into virtually any cell type in the body and may be used to study diseases such as Parkinson's disease and cancer.
