Informations sur le produit
Acetamidine hydroiodide is a cytostatic agent that inhibits the production of dopamine in the brain. Acetamidine hydroiodide blocks the 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) receptor, preventing it from binding to serotonin, which is the neurotransmitter that stimulates the 5-HT1A receptor. This drug also blocks histamine H1 receptors and adrenergic receptors. Methiothepin has been shown to inhibit forskolin induced cAMP accumulation in calf thymus DNA, as well as dopamine D3 mediated inhibition of forskolin-induced cAMP accumulation in rat brain tissue. Acetamidine hydroiodide has also been shown to have antihistaminic effects and may be useful for treating allergic reactions.
