Description

1-(4-Acetylphenyl)-2-methyl-1-propanone (AMP) is a synthetic analgesic that has been evaluated for the treatment of pain. It is primarily used in pharmaceuticals and medicinal preparations, as well as being a common solvent in chemical syntheses. AMP has been shown to be an effective treatment for joint pain, muscle pain, and other types of pain. The mechanism of action for this compound is unknown but may involve the inhibition of an enzyme called hydratropic acid group.
