• Description: Akti-1/2 is a potential anticancer agent that inhibits growth and induces apoptosis in cancer cells. Akti-1/2 has been shown to induce autophagy, which is the process by which cells degrade cellular components, leading to increased mitochondrial membrane potential and inhibition of cell death. Akti-1/2 also activates cyclin D2 and MCL-1 protein expression, which are important for cell cycle progression.
