5-Amino-2-(3-aminophenyl)benzoxazole is an organic compound that belongs to the group of isomeric benzoxazoles. It can exist in two forms, a cis and trans isomer, depending on how the benzene ring is attached to the amino group. The cis form has a higher melting point and lower viscosity than the trans form. 5-Amino-2-(3-aminophenyl)benzoxazole has been used as a monomer for polymers or as an anhydride for dianhydrides, diamines, or tetracarboxylic acids. This compound has good processability due to its high solubility in organic solvents such as dichloromethane and chloroform.
