• Description: 4-Amino-3-nitrobenzonitrile is an organic compound that is used as a precursor in the synthesis of drugs to treat infectious diseases. 4-Amino-3-nitrobenzonitrile has been shown to have potent activity against Leishmania species, including L. major and L. braziliensis. It binds to sulfoxides by a nitro group and forms a covalent bond with the sulfoxide.
