• Description: 2-Amino-5-bromopyrazine is a molecule that has been shown to have potent corrosion inhibition properties. It has a molecular weight of 122.2, and inhibits the reaction yield by interacting with the adsorbed molecules on the surface of metal alloys. This interaction is reversible and can be modelled using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and Langmuir adsorption isotherms. 2-Amino-5-bromopyrazine has been used as an inhibitor in ethyl bromoacetate, hydrochloric acid, and perchloric acid solutions.
