2-Amino-6-[(4-fluorobenzyl)-amino]-3-nitropyridine is an organic compound that is synthesized from the reaction of ethyl chloroformate and activated 2-amino-6-chloronicotinamide. It has a nitro group, which is useful for filtration, as well as a hydroxyl group, which can be used to form an acid salt. This substance can be used in the synthesis of flupirtine, a chemical that has been shown to have antiinflammatory properties.
