(S)-4-(4-(5-(Aminomethyl)-2-oxooxazolidin-3-yl)phenyl)morpholin-3-one is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of morpholines. It is used as an analytical reagent and chromatographic standard for rivaroxaban. The compound was prepared by reacting 4-(4-(5-amino-2-oxooxazolidin-3-yl)phenyl)morpholine with hydroxy methyl chloride in the presence of inorganic acid, hydrogen chloride, and acetic anhydride. The reaction product was purified by column chromatography using n-dimethyl formamide as eluant. The purified product was then hydrolyzed with hydrochloric acid and trifluoroacetic acid to give (S)-4-(4-(5-(aminomethyl)-2-oxooxazolidin-3-yl)phenyl
