It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia and Philadelphia chromosome positive chronic myelogenous leukemia. N2-[4-(Aminomethyl)phenyl]-5-fluoro-N4-phenylpyrimidine-2,4-diamine can be used as a fluorescent probe for studying protein interactions. The high affinity and selectivity of this compound make it an excellent candidate for drug development.
