• Description: (R)-6-(4-Aminophenyl)-4,5-dihydro-5-methyl-3(2H)-pyridazinone is an alkalizing agent that is used to treat gout. It is also a calcium antagonist and can be used to treat familial mediterranean fever. (R)-6-(4-Aminophenyl)-4,5-dihydro-5-methyl-3(2H)-pyridazinone has been shown to inhibit the production of steroids and the function of meiosis in hamsters. The drug induces spontaneous meiotic arrest in animals and inhibits the formation of mature egg cells in female hamsters. It also acts as a reversible inhibitor of spindle formation in hamsters.
