Description

Azelaoyl chloride is a reactive chemical that reacts with a variety of substrates. It undergoes a Friedel-Crafts reaction with aliphatic hydrocarbons to form stable, high molecular weight crosslinkers. Azelaoyl chloride is also used as a crosslinker in the production of magnetic particles and for the preparation of surfaces for chromatography. The chemical reacts with nitrogen atoms to form azelaoylamine, which can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of dyes and pharmaceuticals.
