- 4-(Acetylamino)-N-(2-aminophenyl)benzamide
4-Acetylamino-N-(2'-aminophenyl)benzamide is a novel small molecule that inhibits methyltransferase activity. It has been shown to be active in a number of different cell lines, including those derived from solid tumours. 4-Acetylamino-N-(2'-aminophenyl)benzamide induces caspase-independent cell death and autophagy, both of which are hallmarks of cancer cells. This drug also has anti-cancer effects in mice models of bowel disease and colorectal cancer.
