Description

L-Anserine is a non-essential amino acid that belongs to the group of complex enzymes. It has been shown to have therapeutic properties for metabolic disorders, such as diabetes mellitus, and has been used in clinical trials as an anti-inflammatory drug. L-Anserine has been shown to have antioxidative properties and has been used to help reduce oxidative stress. As a precursor of carnosine, it can also improve brain functions and mitochondrial functions. The mechanism of action of L-Anserine is not well understood but may be due to the reaction with glucose in human serum or cellular physiology.
