Description

Azidopropan-3-ol is a reactive chemical that has functional groups such as hydroxyl, amino, and carboxylic acid. It can be used to synthesize polymers with azides. Azidopropan-3-ol is not toxic to cells in culture and does not affect the glycosidation process. Azidopropan-3-ol is also an excellent solvent for glycols, which are commonly used as solvents for organic synthesis. Azidopropan-3-ol can also be used as a transport agent in the lungs or kidneys because of its low viscosity and low surface tension. Azidopropan-3-ol has been shown to have anti-cancer properties by inducing apoptosis in cancer cells and inhibiting the growth of colorectal adenocarcinoma cells.
