Description :2-Amino-4-(4-chlorophenyl)thiazole is an antibacterial agent that acts by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall. It has a reactive group in the molecule that binds to the hydroxyl group of the glucose residue in peptidoglycan, preventing cross-linking and formation of new cell walls. 2-Amino-4-(4-chlorophenyl)thiazole is active against Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Bacillus subtilis.
