Adipic dihydrazide has been shown to inhibit P-glycoprotein-mediated transport in human polymorphonuclear leukocytes, which may be beneficial in treating infectious diseases. This drug also has antimicrobial properties against a wide range of microorganisms including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
