Description :
N-(p-Aminobenzoyl)-L-glutamic acid is a conjugate of 6-chloropurine and glutamic acid. It has been shown to have tuberculostatic activity in vitro, which may be due to its ability to react with nucleophilic sites on the bacterial cell wall, such as folic acid. The reaction time for N-(p-Aminobenzoyl)-L-glutamic acid is 10 minutes at room temperature, and it can be detected using high-performance liquid chromatography after a reaction time of 15 minutes.
