Description :
Acetylcholine iodide is a cholinergic agent that is used in the treatment of myasthenia gravis. Acetylcholine iodide is not soluble in water and must be dissolved in a hydrochloric acid solution before being injected into muscle. The acetylcholine receptor cells are activated by specific agonists, such as acetylcholine, which bind to the cell surface.
