L-Asparagine tert-butyl ester is a molecule that has been used in the production of diagnostic reagents for the detection of growth factors. It is also used in the production of monoclonal antibodies, which are used in many diagnostic tests such as immunofluorescence and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. L-Asparagine tert-butyl ester is a trifluoroacetic acid derivative of asparagine and can be synthesized via hydrolysis using sodium carbonate and hydrochloric acid. This molecule has been shown to inhibit the production of glutamate, which may be due to its ability to neutralize pH levels.
