2-Amino-3-bromo-5-chloropyridine is an organic compound that belongs to the group of isomeric compounds. It can be synthesized by neutralizing 2,4,6-trichloropyridine with hydrobromic acid and reacting it with ammonia. This compound has a high yield and can be synthesized in a simple reaction process. 2-Amino-3-bromo-5-chloropyridine is resistant to corrosion caused by acids, bases, and light. It reacts with succinic anhydride to form 3,2'-dibromosuccinimide. The synthesis of this compound produces a logistic problem because it requires a large amount of pyridine as starting material.
