Description

2-(4-Aminophenoxy)acetic acid hydrate is a synthetic, chlorine atom, primary amino compound that has been used as a lysine analogue in the production of lysine-deficient media. It also has been shown to be an inhibitor of the uptake of L-lysine by rat liver cells. 2-(4-Aminophenoxy)acetic acid hydrate can also be used to synthesize conjugates with other compounds such as fluorescein and luciferin. This compound is acidic and can form hydrogen bonds with other molecules. 2-(4-Aminophenoxy)acetic acid hydrate has shown novartis in fluorescence techniques, which may be due to its ability to emit light when excited at specific wavelengths.
