Description

2-Amino-3-nitrososulfanyl-propanoic Acid is a compound that inhibits cyclase. It has been shown to be effective in a model system of nitrite ion and diatomic molecule, which has been implicated as the cause of atherosclerotic lesions. 2-Amino-3-nitrososulfanyl-propanoic acid has also been shown to inhibit transfer reactions and reduce oxidative stress, which causes structural changes in the liver and hepatic steatosis. This drug also has anti-infective properties and can inhibit infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, leprosy, malaria, and chlamydia.
