• Description: L-Alaninamide is a protonated amino acid that reacts with the bacterial cell membrane and causes it to rupture. L-Alaninamide is synthesized by hydrolysis of the ester bond between butyric acid and serine protease in the presence of immobilized d-alanine. The reaction is carried out at a pH of 5.5, and the release of pressor is observed. This reaction takes place in an aqueous solution containing fatty acids as solvents. The type strain of this amino acid is E. coli.
